Frequently asked questions

What are GeM bids?
GeM bids are tenders floated on the Government e-Marketplace (bidplus.gem.gov.in) by central ministries, state governments and PSUs to buy goods and services. BidEasy pulls them into one place and enriches each bid with a clean category, buyer type and delivery state, so sellers can find relevant bids fast.
How is this different from the GeM portal itself?
BidEasy is a free discovery and search layer over GeM bids — bidding still happens on bidplus.gem.gov.in. We add search, filters and clean classification the source portal doesn't, and link straight back to it; we don't replace it.
Who can participate in GeM bids?
Any registered GeM seller. Many bids are MSE- and startup-friendly with relaxed turnover and experience requirements — BidEasy tags those as open to new sellers so first-time bidders can spot them quickly.
Is it free? Do I need to log in?
Yes — completely free, with no login, no subscription and no per-bid charge.
How often are GeM bids updated?
New bids are added through a regular delta crawl, and a bid moves to Closed automatically the moment its closing date passes. A future Results view will surface awarded bids.
How do I know a bid's value?
GeM discloses a value for only a small share of bids. BidEasy shows the disclosed value or a high-value tier when available and clearly marks the rest as Not disclosed — it never estimates GeM values, because the underlying data doesn't support a reliable estimate.
Where do I download the bid document or submit my bid?
Every bid page links to the official GeM bid PDF and to bidplus.gem.gov.in. Downloading documents and submitting bids happen on GeM, not on BidEasy.
Can I filter by category, buyer or state?
Yes. Filter GeM bids by category, sector, buyer type (Central / State / PSU), delivery state, value tier and eligibility flags (MSE, startup, Make-in-India, Reverse Auction).
